Public Court Record On Colorado Shooting Altered
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — A public court record that shows the former graduate student accused in the Colorado movie theater shooting was being treated by a psychiatrist has been altered.
The revelation about psychiatric treatment was disclosed in a defense motion last week which said a package discovered in the mailroom at the University of Colorado-Denver contained communications between accused shooting suspect James Holmes and Dr. Lynne Fenton.
No reason was given for blacking out the information that has already been made public. The judge has issued a strict gag order in the case barring authorities and attorneys from discussing the case.
Holmes is charged with killing 12 people and injuring 58 during a mass shooting July 20 at an Aurora theater during a Batman movie.
