Police: Van Driver Tried To Grab 13-Year-Old

DENVER (CBS4) - Police are sending out a warning about an attempted child enticement on Tuesday in Denver.

They released this photo showing a white van that was driven by the suspect in the case:

Police said that at 4:05 p.m. a 13-year-old was walking home from school when a Hispanic male pulled up next to him at the 3300 block of North York Street. The van stopped in an alley near Gaylord Street.

"The suspect asked the victim some brief questions and then got out of his vehicle and attempted to grab the victim," police wrote in a Crime Stoppers bulletin.

The student then ran away.

The suspect was described as being between 30 and 35, 5-feet-9 and with short black hair that was longer in the front. He was wearing blue jeans and a grey T-shirt.
