Police Identify Pedestrian Killed On Interstate 25

THORNTON, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities say the pedestrian killed on Interstate 25 north of Denver has been identified as a 48-year-old Thornton resident.

Officials said Monday that Bradley Malone Calhoun was killed early Friday morning after he was hit by a tractor-trailer. Authorities say he was rolling on the highway from the center median barrier into oncoming traffic

The accident shut down the northbound lanes for several hours, backing up morning rush hour traffic.

Thornton police say the accident remains under investigation and they haven't been able to determine why the victim was on the highway. They say an official toxicology report is pending.
