Police Believe Victim, Shooter Knew Each Other

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora believe the victim in a deadly shooting knew the shooter.

Officers rushed to the 1200 block of North Xanadu Street at about 6:20 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls of a shooting. When they arrived they found a man lying in the front yard. He had been shot in the upper body.

That man was rushed to the hospital where he died a short time later.

No arrests had been made by Wednesday afternoon. Police do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence and that the victim and shooter knew each other.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses to determine a possible motive and to identify the suspect.
