Peyton Manning Shows Support For Fan Battling Breast Cancer
DENVER (CBS4) - Peyton Manning is no stranger to a following of devoted fans. On Thursday, the Denver Broncos quarterback sent a heartwarming message to one fan who is fighting for her life.
Sabrina Montgomery, a mother of three who is battling breast cancer, was featured on NBC's Today segment "Everyone Has A Story."
Prior to being diagnosed with breast cancer, Montgomery received devastating news that her third child, Brody, had a hole in his heart and had three years to live at most. Brody was also diagnosed with Down Syndrome three months after he was born.
Montgomery was determined to beat the odds and now Brody is healthier than ever after undergoing open-heart surgery at Boston Children's Hospital.
The segment closed with a special message for Montgomery that left her in tears.
"Just wanted to tell you that I hear you're a big fan of mine, and I appreciate that. And I wanted you to know I'm a big fan of yours. And I'm pulling for you and praying for you and your family. I wish you all the best," Peyton said in the video message.
