Pedestrian Killed On I-25 In Thornton
THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4/AP) - A fatal accident involving a pedestrian led to an extended closure of the northbound lanes of Interstate 25 on Friday morning.
The situation happened just after 5 a.m. and the lanes were closed until just after 10 a.m.
Authorities said the pedestrian was rolling on the road into oncoming traffic when he was hit by a tractor-trailer.
It's not clear why the man was on the highway. Police said he was on the center median barrier area and then entered the northbound lanes.
Police said the driver of the tractor-trailer that hit the pedestrian pulled over immediately after the crash.
