Pagosa Springs Officer Shoots, Kills Pit Bull
PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - The police department in Pagosa Springs is investigating after an officer shot a dog to death.
According to the Pagosa Springs Sun, a woman flagged down an officer after being chased by two pit bulls last Monday. One of the dogs then apparently came toward the officer. The Sun reports the officer fired one round and called for backup. That one round killed the dog.
The police department is not releasing the identities of the officer or the owner of the dogs involved.
