Nolan Arenado Fitting Right In With The Rockies

DENVER (CBS4) - Even though he is only 20 years old, the Colorado Rockies have been waiting for Nolan Arenado and they called him up and he has fit in.

The young third baseman is proving that he is an all-around player. He told CBS4's Gary Miller he takes as much pleasure in his defense as he does hitting.

"All the guys, we always work on defense a lot because we can't give up any outs, every out is big for us. We work really hard on that, and hitting, I take a lot of pride in that too. I just try get better in both ways," Arenado said.

Arenado said he was confident that he'd get off to a good start.

"I knew I could play up here, I knew I was going to play up here no matter what. I have a lot to prove, I still have a lot of things to get better," he said. "I hit the ball hard, it's just not falling. It's going to turn and I feel good and feel good about the team."

The fans already love Arenado.

"It's nice, and these fans are great, they'll support us no matter what and it's time to start winning.
