No Injuries, Cat Rescued From House Fire In Parker

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters say spontaneous combustion may have started a fire at a home in Parker.

The fire started just after midnight Tuesday at the home on Brookdale Lane. Fire investigators say some oil soaked rags in a garage may be to blame.

"A good Samaritan in the area spotted the fire, called 911, and woke up the residents by pounding on the front door," South Metro Fire Rescue spokesman Eric Hurst said in a statement.

Everyone inside made it out without injuries. Firefighters were alerted about a cat in the home and rescued it from the fire.
