No Charges In November Shooting In Mesa County
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Prosecutors are declining to file charges against a Mesa County man who told a 911 dispatcher he had shot someone who was trying to enter his home.
Sheriff's deputies who went to the scene Nov. 25 found the body of Jesus Sanchez near the front door of the home.
Sheriff's officials said Wednesday that Chief Deputy District Attorney Mark Hand informed investigators that prosecutors wouldn't be filing charges. In Colorado, residents who use deadly physical force against intruders who intend to do them harm can be immune from prosecution.
