NFL: Broncos Safety T.J. Ward Won't Be Suspended
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Denver safety T.J. Ward won't be suspended over his ejection from the Broncos' loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
It appeared Ward went down swinging after he was blocked by receiver Jeremy Maclin on Charcandrick West's 80-yard touchdown Sunday.
He was assessed a personal foul and tossed from the game. Afterward, he said he was worried he'd be suspended like teammate Aqib Talib was for poking a player in the eye.
NFL spokesman Michael Signora told The Associated Press any additional discipline of Ward would come "as part of the standard review process."
That means he could face a fine.
Last week, Ward was fined a total of $23,150 for a hit on Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton and for having his jersey untucked.
