Nearly 200 Fort Carson Soldiers Return Home

FORT CARSON, Colo. (CBS4)- Nearly 200 soldiers from Fort Carson have returned home after they were stationed in Afghanistan.

Some had been deployed since February but others had been gone since December 2015.

"Being away from this lovely woman all that time is just… it's very heartbreaking," said one soldier.

"Actually we had just gotten married before, too. And they would ask me, 'What's it like to be married?' and I'd laugh and say, 'I couldn't tell you,'" said one man whose wife had been with the troops overseas.
