Mudslide Could Force Wheat Ridge Residents From Their Home
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Residents of a home in Wheat Ridge may have to leave after a mudslide washed away part of their backyard.
The slide happened Saturday morning near 48th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard. A leak in the sprinkler system saturated the ground causing trees to slide downhill.
The home has been deemed unlivable but residents are waiting to hear from an engineer to determine whether to stay or go. Ten people live in the home.
There's currently no risk to neighboring homes.
