Mother's Day Snowstorm Measured In Feet Across Colorado
DENVER (CBS4) - A Mother's Day snowstorm dropped up to 3 feet of snow across portions of Colorado's high country, and left up to a foot in some of the Denver metro area.
At Denver International Airport, 1.1 inches of snow was measured during the storm, and that will go into the official climate record for the city.
The snow was packed full of water, with a ratio of snow to water somewhere in the 6:1 to 8:1 inch range. That means there was one inch of water for every 6 to 8 inches of snow.
