Mother Has Baby On Way To The Hospital
FALCON, Colo. (CBS4) – A mother started having her baby before making it to the hospital Tuesday morning.
Stefanie Simpson started having contractions at her home in Falcon, northeast of Colorado Springs.
Simpson and her husband started driving to Parker Adventist Hospital but along the way had to pull over and call 911.
The baby had halfway arrived when the first emergency crew showed up.
"I delivered her to the waist, firefighter started handing me stuff and took over because I was like, 'I don't know what to do.' So I stepped back," said husband Nathan Simpson.
The family was then taken to a hospital.
Baby Karaline and her mother are doing fine.
