More Than 60 Rabbits Dumped Along Colorado Springs Road
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - More than 60 rabbits were dumped and abandoned along the road in Colorado Springs Sunday night.
The rabbits are now safe and sound thanks to Good Samaritans. Volunteers raced out to scoop up the domesticated animals and rescue them from traffic.
"We were watching the news and saw that someone abandoned these rabbits on the side of the road, so we're animal lovers and we couldn't have that," a volunteer said.
The rabbits are now with the Humane Society and should be up for adoption soon.
