Money $aver: Get Money's Worth On Mother's Day Flowers
DENVER (CBS4) - Mother's Day is coming. Lots of people will be ordering flowers, so CBS4 decided to order a bouquet from three different places to see what they cost, and what was received.
Lale Floral Design sent a beautiful arrangement with tulips and other unusual flowers. The bouquet was delivered one day after the call. They came in a vase with greens included. The cost was $38.77.
1-800 Flowers sent 15 long-stemmed tulips. The bouquet was also delivered one day after the call and cost a total of $46.30. The bouquet came in a box with no vase. The tulips were fresh and colorful.
King Soopers delivered 15 short-stemmed tulips, which appeared to be wilted. The bouquet took two days to arrive and cost $68.17. We called King Soopers and complained about the flowers. It took us several phone calls before reaching someone who offered to send out another bouquet. It arrived drooping and wilting as well.
