Momma Bear & Cubs Move Into Colorado Springs Neighborhood

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Three bears have moved into a neighborhood in Colorado Springs.

A mother bear and her two cubs have been wandering around an apartment complex for the past few days. Neighbors say they hang out in a tree and have been digging into trash in a dumpster.

So far there have been no problems.

"If you get close, the momma bear will let you know. She'll squawk and then go about their business," a resident said.

Wildlife officers say people living near the foothills need to lock up their trash, especially this time of year when bears are trying to gorge for the winter.
