Michelle Kwan Makes Figure Skating Hall Of Fame
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Michelle Kwan has been elected to the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame.
The most decorated figure skater in American history, Kwan won 43 championships, including five world titles and nine U.S. crowns, with eight in a row. She also won the silver medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics and bronze at the 2002 Games.
She also earned 57 perfect 6.0 marks in major events under the old scoring system, the most of any skater.
Kwan will be inducted into the hall during the national championships in San Jose, Calif., at the end of January.
Kwan says "there can be no greater honor."
