Hit & Run Driver Gets Jail Time For Striking Jogger
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) - A man accused in a hit-and-run that injured a jogger in Highlands Ranch last September has been sentenced.
A judge sentenced Markus Lide, 33, to one year in jail for careless driving and four years probation for leaving the scene of an accident.
Lide drove up on a sidewalk and hit Tina Benner while she was jogging. She spent time in the hospital with internal injuries and several broken bones.
Lide said he fell asleep at the wheel and didn't knew he hit anyone.
