Man Pleads Guilty To Kidnapping 2 Hikers
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- The man charged with kidnapping two hikers in Boulder County pleaded guilty on Friday.
Joseph Carter pleaded guilty to second degree kidnapping as part of a deal with prosecutors.
He faces up to 24 years in prison when he's sentenced in April.
Investigators said Carter confronted a man and a woman at gunpoint in the mountains near Nederland in June 2010. He then tied them up.
Both hikers got away without any serious injuries. Carter was found a few days later. He was camping in the area.
