Man Guilty Of Trying To Kill Pueblo Police Officer

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - A man accused of trying to kill a Pueblo police officer by blowing up his home has been found guilty.

KRDO-TV reported that jurors reached the verdict against Robert Bruce on Thursday.

Prosecutors said police officer Nathan Pruce found a propane tank at his home the day he was supposed to testify against Bruce in a 2007 peeping Tom case.

Investigators believe Bruce was trying to keep authorities from linking him to rape cases in New Mexico and Texas using DNA evidence.
