Man Dies In Semi-SUV Crash In Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Colo. (CBS) - A man died Tuesday morning in Louisville when the SUV he was driving slammed into a semi.

Louisville police told CBS4 Daniel Feda, 57 of Longmont was driving a Mazda CX-7 on 96th Avenue just south of South Boulder Road at about 6:30 a.m. and apparently didn't slow down when he hit the delivery truck, which was backing up into a parking lot. The SUV wound up stuck underneath the trailer of the semi.

Police closed the road for more than an hour after the accident. Emergency crews tried to extricate the driver from the car but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi wasn't hurt.
