VAIL, Colo. (AP) -- A 62-year-old Colorado man has died after skiing at Vail Ski Resort.
The resort says the man had been on a beginner trail Friday, which was the resort's opening day for ski season. Vail Valley Medical Center spokeswoman Lindsay Warner says the man arrived at the hospital around 11 a.m. and was pronounced dead around 1 p.m.
Details of what led to his death, his name and his hometown weren't immediately released.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old Colorado man was taken to Breckenridge Medical Center after snowboarding on an intermediate trail at Breckenridge Ski Resort. The hospital declined to comment but said coroner's officials would release more information later.
Both men were wearing helmets.
Vail Resorts Inc. owns both resorts.
