Man Charged In Hospital Threat Case
DENVER (CBS4)- A 38-year-old former employee of Denver Health Medical Center has been formally charged for allegedly threatening the paramedics staff at the hospital last week.
Matthew Mann has been charged with four counts of stalking- threats by Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey.
Hospital officials say the threats were directed against the command staff, which could include the chief paramedic.
The hospital went into lockdown mode April 11 after learning about the threats. That meant anyone going in or out of the facility had to provide identification.
Mann's Facebook page states he worked at the hospital for 10 years, between 2000 and 2010. Hospital officials haven't confirmed what Mann's position there was.
His current occupation is a home business called Colorado Instructional Survival, according to his Facebook page. The business specializes in teaching personal safety and defense.
Mann has been released from custody on a $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on April 26 to be formally advised of the charges.
