Macari-Healey Buys Community Media Of Colorado
GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) — Macari-Healey Publishing Co. of Golden has purchased Community Media of Colorado from Houston-based ASP Westward.
Macari-Healey is led by President and CEO Jerry Healey, who owned Community Media's newspapers in the Denver suburbs of Englewood, Littleton and Highlands Ranch from 1992 to 1997.
The purchase announced Monday gives him ownership of those newspapers again, plus nine more community newspapers with distribution to more than 125,000 households along Colorado's Front Range south of Denver and north of Colorado Springs. The weeklies reach communities including Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Monument.
Community Media of Colorado President Jim Diaz is staying on with Macari-Healey as general manager.
