Loveland Woman Killed In Head On Crash Near Colorado-Wyoming Border

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - A Colorado driver has been cited for careless driving in a fatal crash on U.S. Highway 287 in Wyoming.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol said 62-year-old Carla Radloff of Loveland, was killed after her car was hit head on by Jae E. Cauble of Castle Rock on Sunday.

The crash happened just north of the Colorado border. It was snowing at the time and the road was wet.

The patrol said that Cauble was negotiating a slight left hand curve in the road when he saw a crash that was blocking both lanes ahead of him. Investigators say he hit the brakes, overcorrected and crossed into oncoming, southbound traffic.

The crash closed the highway for about two hours.
