Louisiana Man Wanted In Girlfriend's Slaying Arrested In Glendale
LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — A Louisiana man wanted in connection with the slaying of his girlfriend has been arrested in Colorado.
In a statement, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says officers with the Glendale Police Department arrested 27-year-old Miles Joseph Guidry on Monday. Deputies say officers found Guidry asleep in his vehicle and discovered his Louisiana-issued warrant on a count of second-degree murder in 26-year-old Claire Walley's death.
Walley was found dead in her Duson, Louisiana, home Nov. 29. The couple's 1-month-old son was found unharmed in the home.
Last week, the Lafayette Parish Coroner's Office confirmed her death was a homicide, but didn't release further information, citing the ongoing investigation.
Guidry is being held in Colorado's Arapahoe County Detention Center without bail. It's unclear whether he has an attorney.
