Longmont Family's Dog Was Stolen From A Nebraska Family
LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4)- A couple in Longmont had grown attached to their dog when they discovered that he actually wasn't theirs to begin with. Dave and Diane Wilson adopted Ebony in December 2010 at a pet store event.
They took the Rottweiler puppy for a microchip, they discovered he had been reported stolen. Ebony had been taken from a pen outside a Nebraska home last year.
The Wilsons will get to keep Ebony. In return, they are buying his original owner a new puppy.
Police in Nebraska are investigating how the dog ended up at the adoption event.
