Littleton King Soopers Evacuated Due To Refrigeration Leak

HIGHLAND RANCH, Colo. (CBS4)- A King Soopers store in Littleton was evacuated Thursday evening because of a refrigeration leak.

The King Soopers at 8600 S. Quebec, near the intersection of C-470 and Quebec, was evacuated at about 7 p.m. The store reopened at 9:30 p.m.

Hazardous materials crews and store maintenance personnel worked to pinpoint the source of the leak. The substance in the refrigeration leak is a respiratory irritant.

Littleton firefighters were ventilating the store to make it safe for customers and employees.

No one was hurt in connection with the leak or evacuation process.
