Next Several Days: No 90s. How About 70s and 80s?
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - Wednesday we missed another record high by a single degree when we reached 98 degrees - record for the date ism99 set 10years ago. Now the 90s will take a holiday as we begin to temper our two-day heat wave. A cold front will slip into northeast Colorado tomorrow morning and that will take the edge off the heat: look for a high of 87 on Thursday with a chance for scattered storms.
Even cooler on Friday as we drop into the very pleasant mid 70s with only isolated storms. We begin the weekend with highs dipping into the low 70s...and again with a few isolated storms. We'll dry out for Sunday and Monday and start another warm-up" mid 70s for Sunday and lower 80s for Monday. By id week of next week we could be back in those hot 90s!
