Larimer County Deputies Arrest Child Pornography Suspect
LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a man accused of possessing and distributing child pornography.
Darryl Ray Lucas, 56, was arrested on Friday
Denver police began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks. Denver investigators located Lucas in the unincorporated area of North Loveland that had movies of child pornography available for download.
"Follow-up investigations by the Larimer County Sheriff's Office led investigators to Lucas' residence. A search warrant was executed at Lucas' residence. Analysis of the evidence seized during the service of that warrant led to the filing of charges against Lucas," John Schulz with the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
Loveland police and members of the Northern Colorado Regional Forensic Lab Digital Media Section assisted in the service of the search warrant.
