Hickenlooper Recovering From Head Injury

DENVER (AP) -- Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is recovering after he received five stitches for a head wound he suffered on Wednesday when he bumped his head on a shotgun rack while getting into a state highway patrol car.

Spokesman Eric Brown said Hickenlooper was leaving a restaurant in Craig to give a speech to Moffat County officials when the mishap occurred. Hickenlooper was taken to a hospital in Craig where he got stitched up and he was only four minutes late for his speech.

The governor returned to Denver after the speech and Brown said he plans to keep a full schedule on Thursday.
