Heavy Tow Program Aims To Keep I-70 Clear, Safe
The Colorado Department of Transportation has started their Heavy Tow program which clears large trucks from the highway to help keep traffic moving along the I-70 corridor during the Winter months.
Heavy wreckers are stored at strategic locations along the Interstate so they can be quickly dispatched and move cars from traffic lanes.
CDOT has been working on ways to improve speeds and safety during heavy travel times like weekends and holidays.
