Hail Hits Green Valley Ranch, Homes Damaged
DENVER (CBS4)- Severe storms moved through the Denver metro area on Wednesday afternoon bringing with them heavy rain, damaging hail and tornadoes.
That hail caused some damage to homes in Green Valley Ranch.
"(It looks like) somebody just came out here and shot up the sides of the houses with a BB gun or something," said homeowner Yenisei Evans.
The hail not only caused thousands of dollars in damage to Evans' home but it also damaged the fence.

On the streets near 56th and Picadilly drivers had to navigate through piles of hail that was more like snow, even trapping some drivers in intersections.
One police officer from Denver helped out along with a chef from the Embassy Suites.
"He ran out here with the shovel, I came along to push some cars out, it's crazy," said one man.
Also rushing to help those stranded was a Customs and Border Patrol Agent.
"The way I've always seen it, if somebody's in need you've got to help them out," he said.
In some areas the hail was piled up 8 inches deep. It looked more like snow than hail.
One man even brought out his snowblower to clear the hail away from his driveway and sidewalk.
"There was more water and ice everywhere so I broke out my snowblower since I hadn't winterized it for the year," said William Polhemus.
None of the tornadoes that touched down caused any significant damage.
