Grass Fire Comes Close To Homes In Lakewood
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Homeowners in Lakewood rushed to help firefighters put out a blaze burning very close to homes Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters rushed to a fire burning in open space between homes near West 2nd and Yank. The fire moved close to a fence and was threatening homes. People living there said it was frightening to see the flames so close.
Firefighters said the wind made it difficult to fight the fire.
Two sections of fence were burned, but no one was hurt. The cause is being investigated.
