Giant Fish Fossil Found In Comanche National Grassland
SPRINGFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - A rare fossil found in Colorado is headed to the Denver Museum Of Nature & Science.
The ancient fish fossil was found recently at the Comanche National Grasslands, according to a tweet from the managers of the grassland. It is 8 feet long with a tail like a tuna and in its day, the fish would have weighed more than 500 pounds.
There are only three known fossils like this in the world, and this is the only one that has ever been found in the Western Hemisphere.
