Furniture Row Racing Has High Expectations Following Truex's Amazing Year
DENVER (CBS4) - It was a smart move by NASCAR's Furniture Row Racing -- a while back they scheduled their Denver Media Day for Tuesday, but said they'd move it if there was a parade for the Denver Broncos' Super Bowl win.
So media day was held Wednesday for Martin Truex Jr. and his Furniture Row team. The team added Bass Pro Shops as a sponsor this year and switched to Chevy as the No. 78 car is always looking for ways to better compete with the big boys of NASCAR.
Truex, like the Broncos, was an underdog story last year making it to the championship race and raising the expectations for 2016.
"Definitely a little bit more anticipation this winter, I think most because of all the new things coming and coming off season we had last year," Truex said. "We're really all just itching to get on race track and see what we need to do and see what it's going to take to have season as good or better last year. So looking forward to the challenge."
