Fort Carson Conducts Live-Fire Artillery Training
FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) -- Fort Carson soldiers are conducting a live-fire artillery exercise at the post outside Colorado Springs.
The 3rd Brigade Combat Team will train and certify individual howitzer teams on Thursday at the Fort Carson training range.
Each 32-ton howitzer is staffed by four soldiers and fires a 95-pound high-explosive round.
