Former Death Row Inmate Accused Of Rape
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (CBS4)- A former death row inmate has been accused of kidnapping and rape.
Claude Lee Wilkerson was arrested Sunday for allegedly kidnapping and raping a woman in Mesa County.
According to the Grand Junction Sentinel, Wilkerson was arrested in Texas in 1978 in connection to the deaths of three people during a jewelry store robbery.
Wilkerson spent four years on death row but was released after a judge threw out his confession.
