Former Boulder Officers Plead Not Guilty To Shooting, Killing Elk
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - A trial date is now set for two former Boulder police officers.
Both men are accused of killing a popular elk in the city's Mapleton neighborhood.
Sam Carter and Brent Curnow entered not guilty pleas on Friday morning and the trial is now set for October.
Prosecutors say the two men planned and carried out the killing. They face several charges, including illegal possession of a trophy elk.
The officers resigned from the police department earlier this year.
