Flags Lowered Sunday For Peace Officer Memorial Day
DENVER (CBS4) - Flags throughout Colorado were lowered to half staff on Sunday.
Gov. John Hickenlooper ordered the flags on all public buildings be lowered.
President Obama has declared May 15 Peace Officer Memorial Day. It is also the start of Police Week.
Americans are being encouraged to participate and honor the nation's public safety officers by lowering their flags at home.
