THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters say a cigarette tossed off the deck started a fire that spread to a home in Thornton.
Investigators say the cigarette ignited some vegetation below the deck of the home on Bellaire Circle, which sent flames shooting from the roof.
No one was injured. The home was damaged by the fire.
On Tuesday, the improper disposal of a cigarette caused $2.8 million in damage at an apartment complex in Colorado Springs. Eighteen people were displaced in that fire.
