Fire Near Evergreen Forces Brief Evacuations
EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A fire along Soda Creek Drive and Interstate 70 near Evergreen broke out Monday afternoon and quickly forced the evacuation of 25 homes.
Firefighters said the fire was 100 percent contained on Tuesday. About 60 firefighters worked on the blaze, digging lines and putting out hotspots.
A center for evacuees was set up at Evergreen High School, but evacuations were lifted shortly afterwards.
