FBI, Westminster Police Search For Brazen Bank Robbers
WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4)- The FBI and Westminster Police hope someone recognizes the bank robbers who targeted a Vectra Bank on Thursday morning.
At approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday, the Vectra Bank located at 3300 W. 72nd Avenue in Westminster was robbed.
The two criminals allegedly threatened the lives of the tellers at the bank. After the robbery they drove off in a stolen car which police found later on not far from the bank.
The first suspect is described as a male, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, wearing dark clothing to include a dark jacket, gray sweatshirt, gloves, athletic shoes with red details and a red bandana as a face covering. The suspect was carrying a multi-colored Adidas satchel.
The second suspect is described as a male, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, wearing dark clothing to include a black sweatshirt, gloves, white sunglasses with colored lenses and a black face covering. The suspect was carrying a black bag similar to a computer case.
An FBI spokesman said this is the third bank robbery in the past week in Westminster. The agency said they don't believe any of the three crimes are connected.
