Father Pleads Guilty To Killing His 7-Year-Old Daughter
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A father accused of beating his young daughter to death and leaving her body in the crawl space of their home has pleaded guilty.
Hanif Sims pleaded guilty to child abuse resulting in death as jury selection on his first-degree murder trial was under way.
Both Sims and his girlfriend, Monique Lynch, have now pleaded guilty in the case.
In 2010 contractors found the body of 7-year-old Genesis Sims under the home in Monument where the family lived when Genesis was killed.
Sims will be sentenced in April. Lynch is already serving a 27-year sentence.
