Fallen Branch Damages Denver House After Lightning Strike
DENVER (CBS4) - A southeast Denver family has some clean up ahead of them after lightning struck a tree during a storm on Saturday.
The tree broke apart and the trunk was split, causing a large section to fall on top of the neighbor's house.
No one was hurt, but it did cause some roof damage and left a mess in the front yard.
Andy Carl Mondragon came over to help his sister clean up.
"Around 2 p.m. lightning struck the neighbor's tree and it just literally splintered it and a branch fell down and was blocking the entryway into the house," Mondragon said. "So, just kind of cleaning up the mess now."
