El Paso County Deputies Cleared In Shooting Death
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Four El Paso County deputies who shot and killed a 45-year-old man from Colorado Springs after he fired on them have been cleared by the district attorney.
Authorities say Daniel Leskinen died of multiple gunshot wounds outside a Black Forest house in July when four deputies opened fire as he fired a gun at them.
The deputies were responding to a call from a man who claimed his father had shot at him during a fight.
Deputies tracked Leskinen to a nearby house and used a stun gun on him, and the man opened fire.
