Dumervil Pleads Not Guilty In Denver Court

DENVER (CBS4) - Broncos Pro Bowl linebacker Elvis Dumervil pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and disturbing the peace in a Denver courtroom on Monday.

Dumervil was cited after an alleged run-in with a security guard at Invesco Field at Mile High in late October. His case is now being bound over for trial.

Court records show the reported incident happened on Oct. 24. Dumervil's lawyer, Harvey Steinberg, has said the linebacker forgot his credentials and a guard wouldn't allow him into a players' parking lot, despite Dumervil showing his driver's license.
