Dog Dies After Being Shot During Dogfight
DENVER (AP) -- Two dogs were shot and one was killed after a homeowner tried to separate the animals during a dogfight.
Colorado Springs police said they believe two pit bulls attacked the man's dog in his backyard. He was able to get his dog inside. He also warned a woman walking her dogs, but it was too late. The pit bulls attacked the woman's dogs and they were shot after one of them bit the man.
The man who shot the dogs was not cited.
